Construction Update: Big Progress Inside and Out!

February 10, 2026

The Community Food Hub continues to take shape with major advancements both inside the building and across the site.

Interior Advancements

We’re seeing tremendous progress inside the facility as key elements come together:

  • Warehouse and Grocery Store lighting has been fully installed, brightening the space and bringing the market-style experience to life. The orange drop lights add a fun pop of color!
  • T-Bar ceiling installation is complete, giving structure and definition to the interior.
  • The beautiful natural wood wave ceiling feature is complete, adding warmth, texture, and architectural character to the space.
  • Front doors are installed – a milestone moment as the official entrance begins to feel real.
  • All interior doors have been installed, clearly defining offices, program rooms, storage areas, and operational spaces throughout the facility.
  • Bathroom tile work has been completed, adding both durability and a polished finish.

Exterior Site Work

Outside, the transformation continues:

  • Grading has been completed, shaping the overall flow of the property. Thank you KCM Grading and Paving and Teichert for the extended hours to beat the rain!
  • Sidewalks and curbs have been formed and poured, creating safe and accessible pathways. Check out our curved wall along the front sidewalk where our Legacy Bricks will be placed.
  • A new electrical pad has been poured and the power box installed, preparing the facility for full operational capacity.
  • Metal siding and soffit installation has begun, giving the building its distinct exterior character.
  • The trash enclosure gate and shade structure have been completed.

Looking Ahead

We are getting very close to project completion – just a couple of months away! With each passing week, the Community Food Hub is stepping closer to becoming a vibrant, welcoming space for our community.
We remain on schedule for a late Spring opening, and we can’t wait to share this incredible milestone with all of you.

The finish line is truly in sight!

December Construction Update: Community Food Hub Progress

December 10, 2026

As we close out the year, exciting progress continues at the Community Food Hub site. Our construction team has been hard at work, and December brought several important milestones both inside and out.

Interior Advancements

The interior of the building is truly taking shape:

  • Freshly painted walls and ceilings now brighten the space and define each room.
  • Glazing is fully caulked and sealed, improving insulation and preparing the building for final finishes.
  • Lighting installation is underway, bringing the facility one step closer to full functionality.
  • Temporary doors have been added at the main entrance and the Community Room to secure the building as work progresses.

Exterior Site Work

Outdoors, crews have been busy preparing the grounds:

  • A water-collection basin has been dug, an important component for managing site drainage.
  • Site grading is in progress as we prepare for the future parking lot and improved traffic flow around the facility.

Looking Ahead

With these critical steps completed, the project remains on track for Spring 2026 as we move into the new year. Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm each month brings us closer to opening a space that will serve and strengthen our community.
