Services
Access a free 30-day supply of diapers for our youngest neighbors.
Rancho Cordova Food Locker distributes food to our neighbors and friends from our operations center at 10497 Coloma Road, Rancho Cordova. Food is available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Maxine shares donated household goods, personal care items and even cleaning products with our guests once per week on a rotating basis. Supplies vary based on donations.
All residents are welcome and encouraged to access the Rancho Cordova Food Locker services once a week. The food provided is a mix of fresh produce, bread, dairy (when available), and non-perishable grocery items. We ask that first-time guests arrive with a photo ID and a list of all household members with birthdays. This information helps us better understand how much food your household needs, and is collected for USDA reporting and statistical purposes only.
There are no residency requirements or limitations for guests experiencing homelessness. Guests in need of additional food assistance may be limited to non-perishable foods from the USDA after their first visit in a week.
Impact
In 2022, Rancho Cordova Food Locker provided services to more than 5,000 households, an 81 percent increase from 2021. Thanks to the assistance of tireless volunteers and generous supporters, more than 19,000 of our neighbors improved their access to food via Rancho Cordova Food Locker last year. For many of our guests, regular access to food distribution lightens the impact on budgets stretched thin by inflation, housing costs, medication, and other essentials. Food distributions like Rancho Cordova Food Locker help keep families from experiencing homelessness.
